★ Can I donate trinkets? ★
Yes! I totally accept trinket/jewelry donations.
Email me at bloodynbashful@gmail.com so I can give you an address to send too!
★ Do you really clean everything you put in the scoops? ★
YES! As an immune-compromised person and a thrift lover, cleaning and sanitizing properly is the most important step!
I really do sanitize every single bead and trinket.
I use disinfecting wipes approved for killing 99.9% of viruses and bacteria as well as dawn dish soap. I also wear a N99 (even better than a N95) every time I go out!

★ Do you do returns/refunds? ★
No! I do not accept returns or refunds because I am immune-compromised and cannot risk it. More reasons are in my SHOP POLICIES tab!

★ When does my order ship? ★
Short answer is: AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
I will always ship your orders as soon as I can, usually ranging from 1-8 days from ordering.
Of course, this doesn't account for any delays due to emergency like crazy weather or health emergency (it happens but rarely).
★ Where do you get your items for your Crow Scoops & Boxes? ★
I either thrift or hand make all items and materials for the Crow Boxes and Scoops!
We are starting to see a lot of items from Amazon or other fast fashion retailers out in the wild so if you are recognizing something found online, rest assured it is still thrifted or from my local re-use craft center.
★ Where do you get your specimens? ★
All animal specimens are collected and processed by me ethically by creatures that have already passed on or in the case of items like wasp nests, abandoned by the creature who made it.
I practice accurate and ethical taxidermy always!
Plant specimens are either foraged, home grown and dried by me, or sourced from my local co-op that exclusively sells ethical fair trade herbs.
Crystal/rock specimens are either rock-hounded by me or sourced from my local crystal shop which only sources ethical fair trade crystals and is in direct contact with manufacturers.
★ What is the origin of the Crow Mystery Scoops? ★
It all started many years ago as a young adult working at an ice cream parlour...
Every day we had old waffle cone leftovers so I saved them and fed them to the crows in front of my work and at my local park!
The park crows (in the hundreds) were right next to my apartment complex at the time so eventually they started showing up in front of my apartment building to say hi and get a treat. That's also around the time they started bring me little gifts that they would air drop on my 3rd floor apartment balcony!
Before I knew it, I had a murder of crows protecting me to and from work, a large pile of trinkets, and some very upset neighbors.
Eventually, I had to move away and as a sort of love letter out of missing them and their gifts, I started the Crow Mystery Scoops.
It started out as just bottle caps, buttons and beads and evolved SO much over time as I experimented with new items and dismantled more things.
I started asking "what would a crow collect if they were a human?" and taking inspiration from crow and raven videos online too!
It's always been a huge part of my identity as an artist to use thrifted materials as much as possible and I wanted these scoops to be a reflection of my love of crows, thrifting, and sustainability; bring fun D.I.Y. materials to the masses and eventually (as I started working more and more with local thrift shops), keeping items out of the landfill in a world so saturated with over-consuming and mass production. Especially with the rise of blind boxes and the dopamine that it feeds us, I wanted to give that same thrill of getting a mystery without it actively harming the environment and putting more product out into the world.
Trinkets are all around us and it's my pleasure to have them conveniently curated and cleansed for you!
