What are Sustainable Mystery Scoops?

What is a Mystery Scoop?
A mystery scoop is a scoop from a bucket or bin of goodies. Other popular scoops focus on newly manufactured items that serve the single purpose of existing for the novelty of the surprise. 

Do Sustainable Mystery Scoops Exist?
Sustainable Mystery Scoops like the Crow Mystery Scoop are only consisting of handmade and thrifted items. This means that the items in your sustainable scoop were created for, and can be used for multiple purposes. For all of my business endeavors I strive to be as close to Zero Waste as I can. 

What is in a Mystery Scoop?
The Crow Mystery Scoop consists of both Small and Large Items. Small items are things like : vintage buttons, beads, mini toys, pins, and game pieces. These smaller items can be used in crafting to make your own new creations! 
The larger items in the Mystery Scoop are things like vintage toys, repaired jewelry, handcrafted specimen jars, hand made keychains and other new handmade items are added regularly. Here is an example of what you could find in your Scoop.

Why would We Need a Sustainable Mystery Scoop Option?
 As we all know, consumerism in late stage capitalism has gotten out of hand. The expense of quality items has shot up astronomically. The newly manufactured items that have the goal of being consumed for novelty (Other mystery scoops) are quite frankly, crap. We have been trained as consumers to turn to consumption whenever we feel the slightest deficit.
And I am no innocent among the guilty! I love sifting and sorting for treasures and the joy it brings to people when they get to experience what I found. And I also care about the environment, our earth, and a better way of living with what we have already manufactured. 

Why did Bloody & Bashful Create the Crow Mystery Scoops & Boxes?
 I created the Crow Mystery Scoop & Crow Mystery Box so that we could all still experience that surprise and happiness without adding to the landfills, climate change and structural instability that consumerist capitalism has created. You can have your Mystery Scoop and Scoop it too! (Supposed to be a play on words of having your cake and eating it too).

What Makes the Crow Mystery Scoops Different?
Other than the sustainability aspect, because these are all filled with thrifted and handmade items, the sustainable Mystery Scoops and Boxes are all one of a kind & unique. I couldn't make them all the same even if I tried. 

What are the Items in a Mystery Scoop for?
When you get a Mystery Scoop or Mystery Box, you are getting a surprise gift for yourself or someone else filled with treasures that you can reuse for whatever purpose you'd like. Some people buy them for sustainable surprise craft supplies. Some people buy them to add to their oddity shelves.
